Finance Manager
Provide effective financial business planning and analysis, support and guidance to business partners withing the Country / Area through the provision of consistent accurate financial information and the interpretation of the same to ensure business results are achieved.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Appraise and create strategy to improve company’s financial position
- Interpret operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the company and make specific recommendations, which result in cost reduction and profit improvement
- Play a key role in the management team and has responsibility for the Country’s/Area forecast
- Contribute to the annual budget process, coordinating in the input from respective business partners, providing them with information and interpretation of past financial performance and highlighting areas of improvement/ development
- Ensure compliance of Nielsen policies and procedures. Responsible for overall direction for the accounting, tax insurance, budget, credit and treasury functions
- Responsible for the preparations and issue of the annual balance sheet
- Direct the preparation of monthly and yearly financial balance statements
- Prepare, forecast, quarterly reviews and other analysis as appropriate for relevant business partners
- Produce special insightful analysis on specific areas of business performance as required
- Responsible for annual statutory audits and compliance with all local statutory requirements
- Shall be responsible for filing of annual tax returns and other tax requirements
Knowledge and Skills required
- Qualified Professional Accountant, ACA or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar post in comparable organization
- Must have knowledge of:
- Companies Act
- Income Tax Act
- Relevant Labor Legislation
- Exchange Control Regulations
- Should have knowledge of corporate law and accounting standards. Prior experience on the same will be an advantage
- Good communication skills
- Above average interpersonal skills and team player
